Food sensitivities and skin care
Hill’s d/d and z/d cat foods work differently based on their protein sources to manage food sensitivities and intolerances. z/d uses highly hydrolyzed protein, where the protein molecules are broken down so small they are not recognized by the immune system. d/d uses novel proteins, meaning proteins a cat is unlikely to have been previously exposed to, which helps prevent an allergic reaction. Both formulas contain essential fatty acids and antioxidants to support skin and immune health.
How z/d works :
Highly hydrolyzed protein:
- The protein is broken down into tiny pieces, so the cat’s immune system doesn’t recognize it as a potential allergen.
Novel protein source:
- The formula uses a carefully selected source of protein and carbohydrate that the cat is unlikely to have reacted to before.
ActiveBiome+ Technology:
- Includes a blend of prebiotics to support gut health, which helps with digestion and stool quality
Essential fatty acids and antioxidants:
- Support skin health and the immune system.
