Neutering your cat through the Cats Protection subsidised neutering scheme
Here at Station House Vets, we accept Cats Protection neutering vouchers.
We don’t hold the vouchers here – you will need to contact Cats Protection on 01904 760356 or contact them through their website here to request help towards neutering.
Generally help is available to those on means tested benefits or for a household with income of under £25,000.
The vouchers are fixed amounts towards the cost of neutering but may not cover the whole cost. Please contact Cats Protection as above for further details.

What happens when I book my appointment with Station House Vets
- We will need to register you and your cat(s) with us.
- We can then book a suitable date for the surgery.
- You will need to (ideally) email across the voucher, and certainly bring it with you on the day.
- We can provide you with an estimate for the total cost before booking.
- Please be aware that the balance will need to be settled on collecting your cat on the day of surgery.
What happens on the day of the surgery
-
Prior to the surgery we will email you instructions for feeding and medication requirements in anticipation of your admit appointment.
-
On the day of surgery your cat will be admitted and given a health check. Surgery will take place that day.
-
Once the surgery is over and your cat is in recovery, we will call you to organise a discharge time later in the day.
Book your cat’s spay or castration
Once you’ve received your voucher from Cats Protection you can book your cat’s spay or castration; please give our team a call on 01653618303 stating it is through the Cats Protection neutering scheme.
