Hill’s k/d cat food works by supporting kidney function through a diet with controlled levels of phosphorus and sodium, high-quality protein, and added omega-3 fatty acids from fish oil. It also includes ingredients like essential amino acids, L-carnitine, and an Enhanced Appetite Trigger (E.A.T.) Technology to help stimulate appetite and maintain muscle mass. Furthermore, some formulas use ActivBiome+ Kidney Defense to support the gut microbiome, which helps manage waste products that can impact kidney health.
